Making a Gift

Outright gifts
Outright gifts at any level provide essential support for patient care programs.
To make a gift to Hospital for Joint Diseases, donate online [2] or print out this form [3] and mail it to the Office of Development.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts benefit donors and their families by helping to retain or receive income in addition to providing assets to Hospital for Joint Diseases. Hospital for Joint Diseases suggests that you consult your legal and financial advisers before considering a planned giving contract. Our Development Office will assist you in every way to achieve your purpose in arranging a gift or bequest to Hospital for Joint Diseases. All gifts are tax deductible.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust allows a donor to make a gift to Hospital for Joint Diseases and at the same time, retain income from the asset that is contributed.
Charitable Lead Trust
Income generated from assets placed in a charitable lead trust is paid to Hospital for Joint Diseases for a period of years. Once that period is exceeded, the assets can be distributed to designated beneficiaries.
Life Income Trusts

Bequests
Including Hospital for Joint Diseases in your will allows you to help provide for the future of the hospital. In addition, the amount of the bequest is deducted from the taxable portion of your estate.
Please contact the Office of Development for more information about these and other giving options.
Matching Gifts
Many employers will match the contributions that their employees make, enabling your contribution to Hospital for Joint Diseases to be doubled or even tripled. Please check with your personnel department to obtain more information about your company's matching gift policy to submit with your contribution.
