The Clinical Neurophysiology Service offers the following services:
Our active electrodiagnostic service performs procedures on over 1,300 outpatients per year with muscle disorders, peripheral nerve problems, spinal cord and brain diseases. Procedures include:
- electromyography
- nerve conduction studies
- evoked potentials (somatosensory, visual and acoustic brain stem)
- single fiber EMG
- quantitative sensory evaluation
- orbicularis oculi (blink) reflex
- bulbocavernosus (BC) reflex
- neuromuscular junction testing
- posturography-stabilometry
- deep brain stimulator adjustments
- neurophysiological targeting and expertise during movement disorder surgeries (pallidotomy, thalamotomy, subthalamic-thalamic-pallidal deep brain stimulation)
- intraoperative monitoring (SSEP, neurogenics, transcranial)
