The Clinical Neurophysiology Service offers the following services:

Our active electrodiagnostic service performs procedures on over 1,300 outpatients per year with muscle disorders, peripheral nerve problems, spinal cord and brain diseases. Procedures include:

  • electromyography
  • nerve conduction studies
  • evoked potentials (somatosensory, visual and acoustic brain stem)
  • single fiber EMG
  • quantitative sensory evaluation
  • orbicularis oculi (blink) reflex
  • bulbocavernosus (BC) reflex
  • neuromuscular junction testing
  • posturography-stabilometry
  • deep brain stimulator adjustments
  • neurophysiological targeting and expertise during movement disorder surgeries (pallidotomy, thalamotomy, subthalamic-thalamic-pallidal deep brain stimulation)
  • intraoperative monitoring (SSEP, neurogenics, transcranial)
