Diabetes Foot and Ankle Center

The biggest fear for a person with diabetes is losing a limb. At the Hospital for Joint Diseases Diabetes Foot and Ankle Center, established in 2000, our main goal is the prevention of a foot problem and its recurrence.

The Center is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of dedicated medical professionals who can provide the most advanced treatment and specialized care for foot complications. Our patients have access to an array of services, which include complete evaluations by an endocrinologist, orthopedist, podiatrist, plastic or vascular surgeons, and pedorthists. We also offer participation in clinical trials, diagnostic testing, pain management, physical therapy and rehabilitation, and skeletal radiology.

The HJD Diabetes Foot and Ankle Center is a part of the NYU HJD Wound Healing Centers.

Our mission is to prevent and treat foot complications and reduce limb loss in patients with diabetes.
