Orthopaedic Rehabilitation

Orthopaedic Rehabilitation is an inpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation unit which provides a comprehensive treatment program for patients with musculoskeletal disorders, joint replacement, fracture repairs, spine surgeries, and limb amputations. Our rehabilitation registered nurses work closely with members of the interdisciplinary team to restore, maintain or promote the patient’s maximal level of function and wellness. We deliver care using the primary nursing care model and base our practice on shared decision-making. Staff members are highly encouraged to participate in councils and committees, to attend conferences and workshops, and to pursue nursing specialty certification. Adequate time and support is made available for staff members to work on unit-based projects and research. Nursing staff are encouraged develop professionally through continuing and higher educational opportunities. Currently we have the highest percentage of certified RN’s in the institution.
